The cowboy is an American icon. Pearl snaps were added to shirts to avoid injury from a rider’s shirt snagging on a tree branch or fence. Jeans evolved from being workwear uniforms for miners to styles better suited for riding horses and wearing cowboy boots. And the iconic wide brim cowboy hat fended off the elements.
